Some precious gems are altered to have the appearance of a different color than the one that the earth gave them. Most of our Colored Stone Jewelry uses only naturally-colored gems but some pieces use Heat-Treated Diamonds as accents. A common example is a dangle earring with a small heat-treated-colored diamond as an accent above a larger natural colored stone.
